Katcha’ Reminiscing Wins Pin Oak Charity Horse Show

Lexington, KY— Katcha’ Reminiscing and rider Chris Nelson won the $15,000 Chronicle of the Horse/USHJA International Hunter Derby March 23 at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.

A talented group of 31 professionals, amateurs, and juniors competed over a course designed by Linda Allen.

For the 19-year-old college student, Nelson, this was his first ride on Katcha’ Reminiscing. Nelson and Caroline Auclair-owned Katcha Reminiscing scored 362 points, earning $4,500, during the two-round competition. That point total was one point better than Double H Farms' HH London, ridden by Peter Pletcher, who finished with reserve honors.

Rounding out the top 12 finishers were: Day Dream (Courtney Calcagnini, Taylor Reid); Apparition (Jordan Siegel); Dominick (Pletcher, Andrea Ramirez); Hamilton (Carson Gibson, Shadyside Farm); Westview (Pletcher, Eva Bisso); CR Cascano (Calcagnini, Ann Johnston); Tell All (Pletcher, Dr. and Mrs. John Baker); De Nada (Jessica Zienkieviz); Caden (Gibson, Shadyside Farm); Blahnik (Lindsey Black).

The 2010 $100,000 The Chronicle of the Horse /USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals will be held August 20-21 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
